Commission-Richardman

A spectacularly Noir-ish commission for richardman . I like a loooooooot of things about this inking (the heavy inks, washed out colors, graininess, presentation, etc...) but what I love the most is that this is one of few images, if any, I've made that still stands up at full resolution. In this case that's a whopping 2000 by 3000 pixels. I might upload some detail shots just to show. Usually my images at max res have some problems but this one, in some ways, gets better as it gets bigger. Would make an awesome poster!

I also like the character because he's cool without blatantly trying to be. A lot of the "cool" guy characters I see running around the fandom are either overly sexualized pretty boys who I'm supposed to think are so hot that they're interesting (doing the "Dreamworks Face" does not make me think your character is sexy-cool) or characters that think "more stuff=more awesome" and we end up with these characters from some sort of nightmare Furry Final Fantasy world. The Wraith here, on the other hand, is big, simple, and imposing. He is what he is and I think he's interesting for that.

PS: I know the aspect ratio for the "film" is totally impossible. consider it a sacrifice on behalf of graphic design.
